What to do in a day at positano?

..was wondering how we could possibly spend our time besides the beach at positano, my wife isn't too interested in hiking the Path of Gods, ..what else can we do?

I agree with the boat trip.....you can visit the Emerald Grotto. A little touristy, but a nice way to enjoy the sea and sun. Bring sandwiches and a bottle of wine and enjoy!

We never shop there We like to take one of the shuttle boats to the close by coves - much quieter beaches, incredible views, you can get lunch. There are three or four of them (perhaps more) that come into the pier. Then come back, recover, have a nice late dinner at a restaurant with a great view. The Path of the Gos is amazing though. See if your wife will reconsider... (You can catch the local bus up from Positano to Nocelle - no need to hike up the hill if she doesn't fancy that.)

After seeing Positano, you could take the bus to Amalfi.

Wander up and down Via Mulini, the pedestrian street with shops and cool galleries. Go in the secret garden at the Hotel Murat, they don't mind. Visit the church Santa Maria Assunta. Walk along the footpath on the far right of the beach as you face the water, it connects you to an other beach and also has nice breezes and veiws. Eat great reasonalbly priced food at Capricci, a takeaway place that has an outside counter in the back with a view of the sea, or tables below with a more upscale menu.

You could take the ferry to Amalfi and then the bus- very short ride- up to Ravello- I recommend Pizza at Restaurant victoria- best pizza I had- even better than Naples and Ravello is a beautiful town.
