What time should we arrive for a flight from CDG to Boston on October 4th?
Since everything I've been reading says that CDG is a nightmare, I was just wondering what people think is a good time to arrive for a 1:30 P.M. flight on a Saturday October 4th for a flight to the US. We like to have plenty of time and would rather sit at airport than be nervous about making flight.
Thanks

Depending on where you are staying and how you are traveling, leaving your hotel or apartment at 9:30 should satisfy even the most paranoid traveler (i.e., me), barring, of course, a greve (strike), manif (demonstration) or a parade of some sort.
Plenty of time to lunch, check in, do the VAT, etc.
The good news is that Saturday is less likely to be stressful than a week day.

If your airline allows it, check -in on line , and print your boarding cards . Saves time!
You know the terminal your flight is taking off from; the gate for your flight will be shown on the board.
On my flight 2 weeks ago, the passport and security control at CDG took 45 minutes.
It may take much less outside the busy summer season. Then again.....
I did not find the airport that bad, but : the AF bus stopped in front of my terminal, I had checked in on line and had only carry on luggage.
If you are nervous , I would be there by 11:00 or so.

They say be there 3 hours ahead, but we normally never are. However in Paris we take the Rossiey Bus(bacause of cost) and it gets there in plenty of time for the slew of early afternoon returns back to the US.
