Sun in London in November? You've got to be kidding. It doesn't really set at all because it never really rises.

Here's a link to my favorite sunset/sunrise info source for Great Britain, choose your country, city, month, etc.:

http://www.onlineweather.com/v4/uk/sun/index.html

4:30 at the beginning of the month, 4:00 at the end.

Sam is right. The sunsets in London are very early at this time of year. At 4.30pm it's already dark.

However, unless you're planning on awlking in the parks all day (illadvisable in November) the dark really won't affect your experience of the city. In fact, I would suggest a late afternoon, early evening walk along the south bank to see the lights of London (St Paul's, Houses of Parliament) across the river. It looks magical in the dark. Cross the Millenium Bridge (pedestrian walkway) at about 4.30/5pm from the north bank near St Paul's, which will bring you to the Tate Modern (which will be open, and is free, if you fancy popping in). Then walk west along the South Bank, past the Globe, the OXO Tower (great stop for a cocktail on the top floor), past the Royal Festival Hall and the National Theatre until you reach the London Eye, and cross the river again to the Houses of Parliament.
