What time do they dance the Sardana at Barcelona cathedral square?
It's been several years since I was in Barcelona on a Sunday. What time do the people begin to dance the Sardana in the square? I remember that the musicians show up early, but I can't remember what time. I will be there on a Sunday inJune and I want to be there when the dancing starts, so what time should I show up? thanks

When we were in Barcelona March, 2008, on Easter Sunday the dancing started at about noon. We had been to the Sagrada Familia first, hoping to attend church services, no such luck, no tourists allowed in the actual service, so moved on to the Cathedral. The musicians started up and then gradually the dancing began. We stayed about 2 hours in that area and it was still going on.
I don't know if the time would be different if it was not Easter.
Next time I plan to dance, too!

I was really impressed when the teenagers I was chaperoning to Europe broke out of their shells and started dancing with some elderly Spanish Ladies in Barcelona. It was fun. These little old ladies got to the dancing area, sat down on benches (that we go up and offered them)and changed their shoes and asked us to dance. I would never pass up a chance to learn a new dance so I took them up on it (the lady I danced with came up to my bellybutton) the other ladies asked the girls and they said yes too. Off we went. We had a blast. Now if I could just find those pictures.
