Maribel's Guide to Madrid lists Antigua Casa Crespo, Divino Pastor, 29 and Gasa Hernanz, Calle Toledo, 18 as the best places to find espadrilles.

There's two well known ones - Casa Hernanz and Lobo, they're literally a few doors down from each other. My friends from Madrid recommended Lobo btu when I went to look at both, it seems that the Casa Hernanz was of better quality, and just a couple of euros more expensive.

A couple of weeks ago,Casa Hernanz already had people lined up out the door! Don't be put off,the line moves quickly.I love the fact that these are actually made in Spain! I always buy the key chains with espadrilles as gifts! You need to ask for them!
