Westmorland County Fair, Kendal - September 11, 2014

Jump to last reply

If you are going to be in the UK in September and are interested in going to a great event, set Sept. 11 aside to attend the Westmorland County Fair in Kendal.

My husband and I were there last fall and had a fantastic day. It is a massive one-day fair with hundreds of vendors, equestrian events, dog show, animal judging, demonstrations - birds of prey, building stone walls, etc - a farm-to-table food court and much, much more.

I am in no way affiliated with the Fair. Last fall my husband and I were in the UK and were interested in going to a local event. I think we were the only Americans there and people went out of their way to explain what was happening, we ate some great food and altogether had a wonderful day. There is public transportation to and from and there is an excellent restaurant in Kendal called Deja Vu.

Here's a website if you are interested: http://www.westmorlandshow.co.uk/westmorland-county-show.html
