Westin Palace vs Gran Canarias

I need your help. We are wavering between the Westin Palace and the Hotel Gran Canarias. The Westin had deluxe rooms for 245 Euro a night and the gran canarias has standard rooms for 150E or suites for 200E a night. We are so torn between the 2. The gran canarias seems to be closer to sites, and train station, the Westin seems a bit more comfortable. Any input or feedback would be so helpful. Which would you choose and why?

If you mean Gran hotel Canarias.
it is just two steps away from Westin, so location makes no difference.
Canarias is more a 4/5 star and Westin 5 luxury.
Westin is more representative and Canarias cheaper.
For one or two nights I will go for the westin, for a longer stay then price could be of an issue.

If price was not an issue, which would you choose. A suite at Gran hotel Canarias or a room a the Westin?

There is only one suite at the Gran Canarias, which is superb. The Westin Palace if great for those who use or collect Starwood points.

We stayed at the Westin and loved it. the breakfast buffet is pricey but worth it and drinks in the bar underneath the stained glass dome are wonderful! Good location - easy to the train station and prado. We were there just prior to Easter so the Semana Santa processions went right by. As guests, we were able to stand in the doorway and on the stairs which were roped off and only guests (names on the list) were allowed.
