Western German cities - which ones to hit and miss?

Jump to last reply

Hey fellow travellers

I'm going to Germany for the World Cup this summer and am trying to somewhat have my travel pattern follow where Team England might potentially play, but i also do not want to sacrifice my travel agenda (the avid traveller that I am).

My question is this: Once i leave Munich, i plan on swinging north along western Germany. I wish to be in Berlin in 2 weeks time, and I like to spend about 2-3 days per city. My shortlist includes:

Gelsenkirchen (only if England plays there)

I was wondering if anyone could praise or sway me towards chopping my list, as i obviously can't include of all those cities.

I'm a 26 yr old guy, i love architecture, history, sports, music, and having a few BEvERages in my cities, if that helps.

Cheers and thanks in advance
