Westbourne Terrace?

I've found a flat to let on Westbourne Terrace, close to Sussex Gardens and Westbourne Crescent. My family of 5 is returning to London in March 2014.

I like that it's relatively close to Paddington, but don't want to be *too* close. This looks like it's closer to Lancaster Gate tube than Paddington, which would be OK.

How does that location compare with the area near Notting Hill Gate, off Kensignton Church Street and Edge Street, and the area near the Holland Park tube station (those are the two areas I've stayed in previously?)

Thanks for any insight!

I would much rather be near Kensington Church Street than in Westbourne Terrace. If you're close to Lancaster Gate, it's not so bad, but the area is not as good as near Notting Hill Gate tube.
The Praed Street area near Paddington is not so nice (particularly now, with the major rail works going on).

If it's a really great flat in Westbourne Terrace, then I would not mind the area too much - but if the flats are about the same, Kensington Church Street is better. It's very close to Clarke's bakery, Kensington Place restaurant, as you know if you have stayed there previously.

Tulips, if you have time, will you peruse this and tell me if you think this is too close to Praed Street?

Looks nice, the area is fine. Quite close to the park.
