We're back from the Dolomites -- thanks Mr & Mrs Go/Bobthenav!

Jump to last reply

Just wanted to give a grateful shout-out to Mr. & Mrs. Go and Bobthenavigator for all their advice which helped Hikrguy and me have 4 wonderful days hiking in the Val d'Gardena in the Dolomites last week. We did find the Flying Telephone Booths which were just as crazy as you said, and did 3 hikes in and around Ortisei. We got home last night from our trip, which also included 5 days in Florence (including a day with Luca of Hills and Roads), and 1 1/2 days each in Venice and Rome. Many details will be forthcoming as soon as I get a bit organized and prepare a trip report. I fell in love with Florence, and Hikrguy learned a bit about art and Masaccio and even gave the Uffizi two thumbs up. It was a wonderful First Anniversary-moon and we cannot wait to go back.

But for now, grazie mille!
