Websites of Irish vacation homes to rent...?
I'm just beginning to work on a trip to Ireland in June, 2011, for 8 of us. We are fairly sure we would like to stay in the southwest, not too far south, and take day trips. We will then travel to Dublin, see the city, friends in Bray, Co. Wicklow, Powerscourt, and depart from Dublin. Can anyone suggest websites showing places to rent?

I've used http://www.imagineireland.com/ for a great place. I've seen these in my research. Rick Steves recommends VRBO.

Thanks for your help so far...question: is it possible to find a "self-catering, large" home/villa near a town so that we could walk to town, to pubs, etc.? I'm finding that most of the larger homes are in the countryside.

I'm sure it's possible, but it might take some research. From what I've seen, most folks who want self-catering want to 'get away from it all' in the country. However, I had a self-catering flat in Edinburgh, about 2 blocks from the castle - so it's certain that there are SOME out there. That place had 3 rooms, enough to sleep 8 if cozy
