Website that has daily, not monthly, European high and low temps

Do you know of any? Weatherunderground.com and weather.com both seem to only have monthly averages.

We are leaving for Paris this week and from what I can tell it is colder than normal, but I'd like to be able to see what the average temps for these days really are.
I can read enough French to figure out a French site if that is all you know. Thanks.

Try this site for historical averages

http://www.weatherbase.com/weather/w...161&refer=

Use Accuweather as well since it gives you highs and lows in metric and english up to 15 days out.

I am a strong proponent of using the best available data (historical statistical averages) for (long-range) planning of a trip... to know what to expect, generally, about the climate of your destination(s).

But now that you are down to a few days to go before you leave... averages are not nearly as important as forecasts - - or am i missing something?

Does it help you to know what the typical averages are, for Paris? - - if in fact, the actual weather is warmer, colder, wetter, windier... et cetera... than the averages should be?

Best wishes,

Rex

weather.com has them, you just have to look around a bit. Open the city you're looking for, click on averages, and then select "Daily Averages" from the drop down menu that is defaulted to "Montly Averages" Here it is for Paris: http://www.weather.com/activities/tr...locid=FRXX0076

Thanks for the help. I knew someone would know the answer.

Rex--It does help to actually see historical averages because right now the long range forecast only goes into the first couple days of our trip. Now I can tell that this is indeed a cooler than normal spell right now, but that there certainly is a chance that I might have some weather that would call for a different type of coat than I'd plan on bringing just using current temps and those forecast (and we all know how accurate these realy are) for the next 10 days.

Lori in Chicago--

Looks like it's going to be nasty weather we'll be having. I live in Minneapolis so I can handle it, but I am wondering what you are planning to take as far as a coat(s). Living here in Mpls. I've got lots of coats for lots of different types of weather but keep vacillating between which ones to take. We're leaving on the 1st for a week and a half (assuming NWA doesn't go on strike that day).

Julies - I know what you mean about the coat thing. We are leaving (DH and I) from Chicago on Friday 3/3, returning the 13th. Eight nights.

I have a big down coat that I wear for Chicago winters but I refuse to bring that to Paris. I look like a big puff-a-lump. Its great for this area though especially since I walk to work and need to be warm and dry.

Back to Paris. The forecast keeps changing and different sites say different things. (weather.com vs accuweather etc). Soooo, I am figuring it will be as cold as 30 degrees and possibly up to 50. I assume it will rain quite a bit(or worse if you look at the forecast for the earlier part of the week). i actually am looking forward to Paris in the drizzly colder weather. I have narrowed it down to two coats. Both have detachable hoods which is a must for me because I hate umbrellas and in Chicago, they blow out anyways with the wind.

Contender one is a long black Fleet Street raincoat with quilted lining. Sort of like an all weather coat, and waterproof. Its like a heavy raincoat. I did not want wool cause of the probable rain. Because I am not 100% sure if that will be warm enough, I am bringing a liner from another to put inside this one just in case. I also need to get some silk long underwear which I might use to layer.

The other possibility is a coat I have from LL bean that is waterproof material with a hood and stand up collar. It also has a light wool lining but I will still bring along the extra lining. This one one is knee length. Its not quite as stylish as the other one - but at some point, I would rather be warm than cute. Right now I am leaning toward the first one as i think its the warmer one.

I also bought some microfiber low boots from Travelsmith in case of wetness or (gulp) snow. We love to walk excessively but if it gets bad, we will use metro. I prefer to walk so I eat more!

Now, you will feel better that you weren't the only one worried about what coat to bring. I have only been in Minneapolis once in November and I loved it but it was FREEZING even then.

Also, bringing scarves to layer on more warmth.

Lori--

The differences between the forecasts, and the fact that we all know that these aren't all that accurate anyway, are what is putting me in a quandry. I have a lighter more puffy coat that is really for weather of about 40, but it's not water repellent. Then I have a lightweight (unlined) raincoat type thing that I can put lots of things under as layers, and it's nice because it's longer. Last contender is a more fashionable, but only to the bottom of my knee, microfiber raincoat with a zip out lining. I probably won't actually make a decision until we walk out the door. Fashinable is nice, but staying warm and dry is my main coincern.

I'll be taking my ankle high goretex lined leather boots because the other time we visited Paris in Feb. I got my feet wet one day and was totally miserable. By the way, I'm bringing my silk long underwear too. Last time I was so glad to have it.
