weather in Veneto area in September

Venice, Padua, Verona - weather in September? Arriving 9/7 departing 9/30. part of that time will be 1 week cruise down the Adriatic Venice to Venice with stops in Croatia, Slovenia

What should I plan on weather wise.

Warm during the day with possible chillier at night. And it can always be chilly on the water (but NOT cold).

If earlier this year you had asked anyone what the weather would be in July of that area or Italy 2 or 3 months in advance, they would have surely told you it would be hot, hot, HOT -- and yet Italy is having an exceptionally cool and rainy summer. (While the UK is having heat wave after heat wave).

No one knows what the weather will be and the historical averages are meaningless, as the present weather situation proves. You could get anything, including hailstorms and tornadoes, or humid heatwaves, or chilly rain.

Check the weather before you go. Asking in July has no meaning.
