weather in dolomites

Jump to last reply

We are going to be in the dolomites 11-15 september. Although we plan to drive around I am still not sure where to stay the choice being Ortisei or Canazei as we don't want to stay in a very small village. My initial thought was Canazei as it seems a better base for driving to different places and less going back and forth through the same roads as seems the case in Ortisei (maybe I'm wrong?). But when I look at the weather forecast, it seems as if Canazei is much colder by 10-12 degrees (celsius). Is this right? Of course we'll bring warmer clothes anyway to go up to the mountains.
