Weather and crowds, is May a good month to visit C. T. and Lake Como?

Jump to last reply

I'm starting to plan a trip for next May to Italy. We visited Lake Garda last month and enjoyed favorable weather and unpleasant crowds only in Sirmione and Malcesine. I certainly wouldn't want to be in either of those towns in high season. It was too cool for water sports but we had good weather for "touristing". ;;)

Lakes Como and Maggiore and the Cinque Terre are high on our list of places for our next trip to Italy. Would May be a pleasant month to visit these locations considering weather and size of tourist crowds?

Thank you for your comments and opinions. Deborah
