weather and closures in Cinque Terre

Jump to last reply

Hi there...I have read a few postings in other sites that perhaps October (early, like the first 10 days) in Cinque Terre could be not very favourable weather, and some accomodations and restaurants would be closed during that time. Does anybody have any experience in visiting that part of Italy during early October? We had originally thought we would stay in the area a few days but perhaps we may have to adjust our itinerary somewhat and visit a different part of Italy. We will already have done Venice, so we're looking for another option. Any suggestions will be appreciated. This is our first trip to Italy/Europe, so have no previous experience to base ideas on. I have a good map of Italy as well as a guide book. Thank you!
