Note that Warsaw Airport now has a train station - cost from Airport to Center is about 15zl ( which is about 4x less then a taxi and 2x faster then a taxi or a bus ).
Since it is new ( opened up for Euro 2012 ) there is not much info on it ) but found this YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CwwC9Qp-4E
I did take this train from Warszawa Zachodnia to Airport ( was traveling from Torun ). and it was very convenient and quick.
Hope you find this info helpful.
Warsaw Airport now has a train station. Quick connect to Center.

We are staying at the Sheraton Warsaw on Boleslawa Prusa 2? How close will we be to the train station coming in from the sirport?
less than 2km. You can take a tram 9 or 25 from Sheraton (300m from hotel). It's only 3 stops.
