Walking in the Dordogne

Jump to last reply

We are two women with 11 days to hike in the Dordogne. Our plan is to stay on either the GR trails or the local hiking routes. We would love to have suggestions for "not to miss" villages.

Having cycled through the Dordogne we have some familiarity with the area. Beynac, Sarlat, St Cirq, Castlenaud, and Domme are already on our itinerary. We prefer picturesque villages and would welcome any destination suggestions, including lodging at chambre d'hote or two star hotels.
Thank you.
Joyce
