Voyages-SNCF: Trouble booking train tickets

Hello! I've become incredibly frustrated trying to book and pay for train tickets through voyages-sncf.com. Perhaps one of you can help me sort out and understand my problem? I've contacted the company via email, but no real help there.

We are trying to book 4 adults, 1st class, upper deck, club 4 seating from Beaune to Nice on August 27. All of this is available. Everything is good until we actually attempt to pay. We are using a chip + pin card. We've contacted the bank and they have not blocked the transaction. Voyages-sncf says they have not received a response from the bank.

We have tried e-ticket and print at the station options. We have tried both USA and France as pick up options. We have tried 2nd class as well. We've essentially tried every possible combination. Has anyone else had trouble with Voyages-SNCF.com?

I've looked into raileurope.com too, but We really prefer 1st class seats for the long trip and raileurope.com only offers 2nd class for this itinerary.

What am I doing wrong? Should I just forget it for now and hope that we can book and pay when we arrive in France?
