Visiting Verona Arena during the day
Hi All,
We're doing a day trip to Verona in late September (post opera season unfortunately) and I'm wondering whether it's possible to visit/tour the Arena?
I've looked at their website but it only talks about tickets to performances.

Yes, definitely. Short line to get in and you just sort of wander around on your own. Climb to the top and look over the edge for great views of the city. I believe I also bought my Verona card/pass there.

My first view of the Verona arena was on an early morning visit in September. It was misty and they were striking the sets from the last opera performance.
That visit was memorable and inspired another visit to the opera years later.

There are also non-opera performances in the Arena. it is a bit difficult to find the dates but you can check by searching for concerts in Verona Arena . In most cases when there is an evening performances they will stop selling tickets to visitor so that they can prepare for an evening performances. Try not to go too late in the day, so you wont have a problem.
