visit in Bruge and Ghent in Belgium

Is it advisable to visit in Bruge towards the end of October regarding weather conditions and tourist facilities?

We visited beautiful Bruge for a couple of days last December. Though chilly, we simply dressed for winter conditions which was a mix of sun, cloud and a dusting of snow. Everything was open (except the canal boat tours) shops, galleries, museums, restaurants. It was a vibrant place, the streets were busy with lots of people - even in wintertime. I would love to see Bruge again - in October or any time of the year!

I agree that Brugge is enjoyable any time of the year. October might be rainy but it might as well still be good (like last year when we had a real Indian summer).

For two years in a row (2005 & 2006) we had SNOW in early March!
It's impossible to predict but if it doesn't snow it will most probably be rainy and cold. Give me snow anytime!
