Village for 3-5 day stay? West or South coast. After a tour. No car.

Jump to last reply

Looking for suggestion for village / small town to visit for 3- 5 days in early June, 2012. I will be coming from Dublin and traveling by rail/coach/local bus and taxi. Renting a car is not a possibility.
The village stay will be after a group tour around west coast of Ireland. (4 night killarney, 3 nights Galway, 2 nights Killybegs, and 4 nights Dublin with field trips every day including Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher, one of Islands of Aran.)
I am a senior woman traveling alone and an experienced traveler but this is first time in Ireland.
Ideal spot would have some or all of these attributes: Pretty/On the West coast or South coast. Can be in one of the counties visited on tour/A community a bit more than a resort /
A town centre/Some pubs and places to eat/Some beautiful scenery right there or within 2-3 miles/ Good area to wander around.
Thanks for any thoughts you have.
