villa/apartment rental in andalusia?

We are planning to spend 10 days in Andalusia this spring. We are interested in seeing Seville, Granada, Cordoba, and possibly Ronda. I love the idea of staying in one place (maybe two) and taking day trips. That being said, here are my questions. Is it possible to do this and still see this area? If so, what would you make your home base(s)? Also, is it preferable to stay in a hotel or in a villa or apartment? Any suggestions?

A great area to stay is the white villages (eg, Rhonda) area of Andalucia. There are many villa rentals, many with private pools. From there you can day trip to Seville. Cordoba and Granada would be long day trips...you may want to figure a way to do those enroute somehow.

My suggestion would be to stay first in one of the cities, then in a smaller town. IMHO you miss so much by daytripping to the cities - half the great stuff doesn;t happen until dinner and after - and who wants to be driving mountain roads back to a small town at 2AM?

(Me, personally, I would stay in two cities and daytrip to a couple of small towns - but then I'm a city person.)

Hello cmc:The areas mentioned are easily accessible from one another. Are you planning on renting a car?And which airport will you be arriving at? Just to give you an idea if you land in Malaga...
Malaga to Ronda-54 miles
...to Granada-84 miles
...to Sevilla- 138.5 miles
...to Cordoba- 110 miles
We prefer an apartment and have been renting one for the last 4 years. If you want to do a search look at www.andalucia.com.Excellent for destinations, accomodations and for travel and tourism. Also for apt. rentals in different areas of Andalucia
you can check www.costaholidays.com and also www.costavacations.com
Hope this helps.Have a great time planning your trip.
Regards, Gail
