My husband and I are considering a river cruise from amsterdam to budapest on Viking and I am wondering about tours. Has anyone gone on the tours? How long are they and what do they cover? We are not as much for museums etc., although we love history. Are their any tours to castles or the outlying countryside?

We have gone on Grand Circle river cruise - their trips have quite a few land tours included and some optionals of course. Don't the Viking promotional materials give you alot of information. On the GCT website their are reviews by travelers of their different trips - you might get some info off of there - they have a trip similar to the Viking one. One more thing - are you going in the spring? tulip time? the Keukenhoff gardens are amazing!
Hi; Anyone using GCT or Vantage should read the article in the Boston Globe. I will repost. Richard
