We are booked on this ship in 2007 for a cruise from Kiev into the Black Sea and back to Kiev. Our cabin is a Delux B, on the Middle Deck, and the deck plan seems to show a small stairwell outside our window. Can anyone tell me if this obstructs our view to any great extent or shouldn't we worry about it (no other cabins are available at this time)? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide (on this point or any other thing about this particular ship)!

rolf, I wouldn't stress out about this; we've never been on this particular ship, but have taken a number of cruises w/ Viking and Uniworld. It's unlikely the stairs would block much of your view. We spend very little time in our cabin, looking out the window; mostly we are on the sundeck or in the lounge, where you can get a wider view and see both sides of the river. You might check back w/ Viking MUCH closer to your departure time, and check w/ front desk when you board; there frequently are last-minute cancellations that would let you change cabins and maybe even upgrade to Cat. A. Have a great trip! You'll love it.
