Does anyone know where the Danube River cruise boats dock in Vienna? Is it near public transportation? Also -- how much does the metro cost? Thanks

Most boats dock at the ship center at the Reichsbrucke on the Danube.
It can be easily reached using U-1 subway- Vorgartenstraase station in the direction of Kagran.
Small ship signs will direct you out of the station to the dock.
As you did not indicate which river cruise was of interest to you, please take care to check carefully as many are saddened to learn that they "missed the boat" or that it does not go everyday.
Subway tickets are not expensive and special 3 day tourist tickets are available that permit travel on bus, tram and subway.
Single journeys over 2 stops cost Euro1.50. 3 day tourist tickets are a bit of a rip off compared to one week tickets(12.50 euro)aimed at locals (you do not need id cards or anything).
To Molker: We will be on a Viking River Cruise. Although some sightseeing is included on subsequent days, our flight to Vienna will arrive fairly early, so we wanted to do some independent walking tours the day we arrive. Thanks for your help and also thanks to Travelnick!
