Very dry heels - what to use?
Does anyone have any products to recommend for dry, not yet cracked but could get there, heels? Used to use a pumice-cream product by Philosophy but they discontinued it. (Need to get my feet in shape before my next trip).

can you buy Eulactol products in USA?They are available here is Oz through Chemists/Pharmacies. They do a heel balm which will remove cracks and soon to be cracks in about three weeks. It is very effective. Not super cheap but not expensive either. I have just checked my tube and see it is made in Australia they have a web page www.eulactol.com.au try and see if you can get some. Its active ingredient is Urea (!!) Vaseline is only petroleum jelly and will offer no moisturising qualities. You are better off with a really thick goopy moisturising cream, lanolin based if you can't get the above suggestion.

L'Occitane (www.occitane.com)makes a wonderful foot cream with 15% shea butter. Shops in lots of cities (and airports) in USA, all over France, and online.

I have used these and got good results. I got the first two at Walgreens and the last one at Bed, Bath and Beyond (and it is the best bargain). They are probably all available at any drug store.
1. Kerasel ($9.99/1.5 oz.)
2. Heel Balm by Flexitol ($7.49/2 oz)
3. Miracle Foot Repair Cream by Miracle of Aloe ($9.99/8 oz.)

I use some lotion from Ahava with Dead Sea salts and this works very well. What I find works best is prescription cortisone. Even over the counter cortisone works to stop the itching. I use it in summer when my sandled feet are exposed to the sun.
