Versailles Musical Fountains - every Tuesday in the summer?

I am having a problem interpreting when the fountains run in the summer on Versailles. I know it is the weekends, and it seems to be most Tuesdays as well.

Here is a cut and paste from their site:

Musical Fountains Show

<<<<<Set out to explore the fountains and groves with their water features spouting to the rhythm of music. Several circuits are available to enable you to enjoy the numerous masterpieces of the gardens or lead you to their most secret spots.

<<<<Saturdays and Sundays from 5 April to 26 October 2014, Tuesdays from 20 May to 24 June 2014 as well as on some additional dates (Friday 18 April, Thursday 8 May, Thursday 29 May and Friday 15 August 2014).

<<<<<<The fountains are activated at weekends and on public holidays from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 3:30 to 5:00 pm (Neptune Fountain from 5:20 to 5:30 pm). Also on Tuesdays and on 29 March from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 2:30 to 4:00 pm.

It seems to define only certain Tuesdays in the first paragraph, but says all Tuesdays in the second one? Or is it only certain times on Tuesdays?

Has anyone been there on a Tuesday in the summer in July and seen some of the fountains running?

I would love to see this - we could visit on a Tuesday, but not on a weekend.

Thanks for any insights,

k.

I think it is on limited Tuesdays and that the times in the afternoons are different than on weekends. I read it to be:

On Tuesdays, the hours of the fountains from 11- noon and 2:30 to 4:00pm. And the Tuesdays are the ones list in the first paragraph.

We went on the weekend, and the fountains with the music is really a must IMHO.

There are different fountain events. The big ones that takes place every weekend daytime is Grandes Eaux musicales.

The wording and the web layout is poor. To find out what actually happens on a particular day, see the right hand of the page you extracted the paragraphs. See "What's on" calendar icon. It tells you what is going on a particular day. You will notice that after Jun 24th, there is no more Grandes Eaux musicales on Tuesdays.

In times of draught the dancing to music fountains may be reduced or even scrubbed.

Thanks for helping me interpret that.

I see "Musical Gardens" is listed for summer Tuesdays. Has anyone been to this and is it any different than simply wandering the gardens (without music)?

<<Musical Gardens

To enjoy the gardens in fine weather, the groves and other preserved areas of the gardens are accessible on certain Tuesdays from April to October for a musical promenade: a chance to discover some of the finest features or the French-style formal gardens designed by André Le Nôtre.

Tuesdays from 1 April to 13 May as well as Tuesdays from 1st July to 28 October 2014.
