Venice to Nice-no flights scheduled on Easy Jet-Help please
I need to get from Venice to Nice on Tuesday June 25th.
When I orginally looked at my travel days it looked like Easy Jet would be the way to go.
However now Easy Jet does not show that route on Tuesdays.
I did a search here and came up with some old post with a link to babo.com (?) but they no longer fly to Nice.
The train suggestion was to book from Venice to Ventiniglia with a change in Milan.
Then hop a regional train from Ventiniglia to Nice.
That routing would take a long 8 1/4 hrs per the post.
Any better suggestions?
Thanks

Train times have improved since that post, but not by much. It is 7.5 hours Venice>Nice
You can travel by train from Venice to Rome's airport in 4.5 hours, and fly from there, but with security requirement and flight time, it pretty much ends up the same travel time as the train (and considerably more expensive).
Last trick would be to take the overnight train from Venice to Paris Monday night, and fly or fast train to Nice from Paris Tuesday morning. Really pricey!
How about flying to Nice a day later or leaving Venice a day sooner?

Vueling flys from Venice to Nice on June 25th , fares as low as 70 euros , but the flight times are not good look like overnighters, BUT , there were some good flight times for 93 euros but when I just looked it says "one seat" left so imagine you will miss out on those.
If you see this in time Vueling is a good airline I have used them twice. Good luck.

You guys are fantastic....thanks for the help.
I have looked into the options you clued me into and Brussels and Vueling are the most expensive for flying approx $186.
I think Easy Jet is my first choice leaving Venice Monday evening if I can arrange a late arrival with the apt I have reserved. Cost is $70 checking one bag and selecting a seat.
If we choose this option I would hope that our Venice hotel would keep our bags for the day which would free us up to tour Venice until we leave.
What time do you think we would need to be at the airport for a 7:45pm (19:45) flight?
I am thinking the train will be the next best option if the price beats Veuling. I still need to figure how to make the reservations etc on the train site.
I will do that after I hear back from the Nice apt on arrival time.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
