In September, we will travelling to Venice then on to Rovinj (for 2 nights) and then Opatjia (for 2 nights) before going to Ljubljana, Slovenia. I'm hoping with help with several questions:

1. We need to travel between each of the cities. Does anyone know of a suggestion for a private car and driver in Venice, Rovinj and/or Opatjia? I know we can take the bus from Venice (or the ferry if it's running) to Rovinj and I think there's a bus that runs from Rovinj to Opatjia, but I'd like to stop in Lipica to see the Lippizaners and to see the Postojna Caves. I've been told that a private car and driver might be the best way to go. If not, is there a bus that runs from Opatjia to Ljubjlana?

2. Hotel suggestions:

We tend to like small hotels in the middle of town -- or at least easy walking distance. Does anyone have suggestions for

Rovinj -- we're thinking of Hotel Adriatic. Does anyone have a direct email address? We're also considering Angelo D'Oro -- depending on price.

Opatjia -- we're open to all suggestions here!
