I will be travelling with my husband, 16 year old son and my parents over the Christmas holidays. We are looking for a triple and a double in Venice, in the San Marco or Rialto area and our budget was no more than 200e a night. My goal was to find something quaint, with charm and some type of decent breakfast and the rooms needed to have some sort of personality. This is my parent's first European trip and will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
I have search my heart out, compared my information to Tripadvisor.com and completed a search on this board. I'm simply looking for any comments that are more recent than what I've come up with so far. The small hotels listed below have all responded to me with prices for the 2 rooms and they are all within my budget.
Anyone with any negative or positive comments on these hotels would be appreciated.
1. Ca' Pozzo Inn (www.capozzovenice.com)
2. Novecento (www.novecento.biz)
3. Locanda La Corte (www.locandalacorte.it)
4. Locanda Ca Valeri (www.locandacavaleri.com)
(Venice Hotels) Complete a lot of research and have searched here, now...

ooops forgot one:
Arco Antico (www.arcoanticovenice)
Surely someone has recently stayed in one of these. I'd appreciate any kind of tie-breaker!
I have relatives who stayed at the Novecento just about a year ago. I know it's owned by the same people as the Flora and I know at the time I found good reviews on the web. They didn't say much one way or the other so can't really judge. I did a search for reviews and found a few besides tripadvisor. It says the decor is Moroccan. How will that sit with your parents? I've never heard of the other 3.
Please read this trip report with attention to their Venice hotel
