Venice: Getting to Marco Polo from Castello for a 1 p.m. flight

Jump to last reply

Next stop is Barcelona. The best deal is a flight on Vueling at 13:00 (1 p.m. of course).

This apartment is about 12 minutes' walk to San Marco. The nearest stop for the Alilaguna traghetto is Arsenale. Sounds good to take the public boat getting FROM the airport.

But I have the impression that I need to get to Marco Polo by 10 if possible to make sure to get a seat. So what would be my fastest cheapest way to get there? By sea or by land?

There might be a couple of other flights from Venice to Barcelona but this is the most obvious one. Vueling has another one at 22:00 but then this gets me arriving in Barcelona at midnight, and since I'm renting an apartment in Barcelona, might have to stay at a hotel since apt. owners might not appreciate such a late arrival.

Any and all suggestions appreciated! Thanks.
