Hi, we're off to Marbella and Sevilla at the end of October and wanted to stay somewhere else for 2 or 3 nights at the start of November. We were thinking of Vejer or Tarifa (where we've been before) or else Ronda where we've never been. Will all of these places be dead at the start of November - shops and restaurants closed, quiet streets etc - or will any still have some life to them? Presumably as a larger town Ronda might be a bit busier? Otherwise is there anywhere else that anyone could recommend as an alternative?

Ronda has a lot to see. We stayed at the Hotel Ronda and it was one of my favorite places in Spain. It is almost a bed and breakfast and the woman who owns and operates it is wonderful.

Ronda! I was there one February and it was wonderful! Warm in the afternoon and chilly in the morning (light jacket needed).

Lots to see and do.

We took a 3-hour horseback ride at dawn which was pretty awesome!
