Vatican Museum tour guide

I would like the recommendation for a private tour guide to help us navigate the Vatican Museum. We will be in Rome in early June with our two 15 year old children. Would love to hear your experience!

Mine was interesting but probably not helpful. We arrived later than we attended due a transportation issue. When we arrived, the line was down one wall and another and maybe yet another. looooong. One of our party went to investigate. Long time passes. We are a bit nervous. Finally he retrieves us and takes us out of line to a shipping office (like Fed Ex). We pay some guy for a tour, and they take us near the front of the line where the tour group is. Basically, we cut in line for the cost of our guide?! Not sure if that is normal. The guide did give us some insights, though I didn't sense he was particularly good, but the value was in the line jumping.

Context Travel is very good; they have private tours and small group tours. Also, www.rome-tours.com is run by a very good private guide, Daniela Hunt. Her main area of expertise is ancient Rome, but I've heard that her Vatican tours are also excellent. I've used Daniela, but not for the Vatican. I've never used Context Travel, but Daniela recommended them once when she was not available. They also get high marks from people whose opinion I trust.

My husband & I have had two very good tours with Daniella Hunt: Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St Peter's Basilica (2011); and Villa Farnesina (2013). Daniella is knowledgeable, high-energy & fun. Be ready to be engaged & to learn!

We used Sonia Tavioli (sp?) and she was really great. Very energetic and customized her tour to make it interesting for our large family group - 4 adults and 3 children. We also used her for the Colisseum/Forum.
