I can only recommend a room at the top floor of the hotel (with the terrace). The view of Lake Como is breathtakingly beautiful...

The lower wing is very pedestrian.

I loved this apartment - it's just south of Varenna.

We stayed at the Orange House B&B this summer and we enjoyed our stay. It also gets good reviews on Tripadvisor.

Eremo Gaudio, but try and stay in the Teodolindo suite with the terrace and gorgeous view of Lake Como.

I also stayed at Eremo Gaudio in the Teodolindo Suite. That view is now framed in my BR and I can look at it every day.

Book early!
