Valencia and Costa Blanca #2

Jump to last reply

Thanks again all of you who already gave us tips and advice on Valencia.

Just a few more questions in relation to the rest of our trip to Jávea via the interior. The town of Jativa is on our list but we are debating whether to stay there overnight (is there more to see aside from the fortress?) or to drive on to Alcoy and find a hotel in that area. The road from Alcoy via Guadalest (the next day) looks interesting and from there I gather it will be a short drive via the E15 to Jávea. We would like to arrive there after lunch.

In short: what would you recommend to stay overnight: Jativa (Xàtiva) or Alcoy?
We will be traveling on November 1st, which is All Saints' Day. We know that many shops will be closed but how about restaurants? Should we stock up the day before?
Any recommendations for restaurants in and around Jávea?
Thanks again everyone.
