Want to rent a vacation home near Barcelona October 2015 that will accommodate 16 adults with 8 en suite bedrooms. Anyone have a suggestion of a particular home or what area outside Barcelona would you recommend to stay? Ideally we would love to stay next to the coast/beach or close to train to commute into Barcelona etc. Please make a suggestion for a property or an ideal city/location.

There are a number of villas available in the area. You can check Spain Select (www.spain-select.com) and Luxury Retreats (www.luxuryretreats.com) to see what they have to offer. You should consider booking at least 9 months in advance to make sure the property is available.

I would have thought the chances of finding a rental with eight bathrooms is pretty slim. Go for a hotel if en-suite facilities are such an important factor.

Although there are many villas with several bedrooms 8 is a lot and 8 baths would be almost unheard of. You are looking for 8 master bedrooms with beds for 8 couple and most villas will have several bedrooms for kids - with twin beds or bunk beds that won't work for you.

I would search for luxury villas - and one with way more than 8 bedrooms to get 8 masters - and you may find something very expensive. Or you may find 2 or 3 houses in the same area that can accommodate so many couples.

But think that a hotel will be much more likely to have what you want.

I did a quick search for Oct 2014 and found 8 properties that fill the requirement (availability for 2015 will not be released until the beginning of the year for most villas), The villas are near Sitges, Besalu, Girona, Sant Mori, Palafrugell, Cadaques and La Bisbal. All are luxury accommodations of at least 8 bedrooms with 8 bathrooms.

There is another property close to Barcelona that has 9 bedrooms and 8 baths in the main house another a few minutes away has 10 bedrooms and 10 baths, while one south of Sitges has 9 en-suite bedrooms.

As noted, these are all luxury properties with prices ranging from around $1200 to $6000/night in mid to late October.

I would think that would be very unusual and you might want to jump on that one.

Most properties w/ a LOT of bedrooms and a LOT of bathrooms - well every bedroom won't be ensuite. If a house has 8 bdrms.8 baths it usually only has maybe 5 or 6 ensuite and the other baths are shared/'public'.

Don't forget these properties now have to be licensed. The adverts must show the licence number. This is one reason why AirBnB is in trouble again most, but not all, of their listings do not have licences. I hope the other websites post licence numbers or they could be in the same boat.
