Use of Lira?

I was in Italy about 4 years ago and I have some Lira left over. Will I be able to use it now that the euro is being used?

You can take it to a bank and exchange it for euros. Or you could keep them as souvenirs.

If I am not wrong you can take the old liras only to BANCA D'ITALIA which might still accept them. I am not sure that other banks will accept them.

It is correct that you must use Banca D'Italia. Two years ago I went to Italy with some lira and the only place that would trade it was Banca D'Italia.
