Updated August Ireland Itinerary

Flying over from Newcastle UK and Dublin will be our starting and ending point as that's where flights from Newcastle arrive and its where we fly back to NY from on an early morning flight. However, we have decided to skip visiting Dublin on this trip as we will be spending some time in London and Newcastle and want to get as much of the small town Ireland as possible in the 7 days we have there. So, with some ideas from this forum and TA, I have come up with this itinerary. We are 2 adults and 2 kids, ages 9 and 11. My wife and I have been to Ireland several times before and although it was a long time ago, we have been from Kerry to Donegal (including the Aran Islands), Derry and Antrim. This will be first time with the kids and hoping to avoid long stretches of driving at one time. Essentially around 2 -2.5 hours max at a time.

Arrive Dublin, pick up car and drive to Kilkenny. Spend 2 nights either in town or nearby.
Drive to Killarney, stopping in Cahir or Cashel on the way if that will be fun for kids. They do like ruins and castles.
3 nights in Killarney and we will visit Dingle or Beara (have done ROK 2x already), Gap of Dunloe, National Park and/or whatever else we discover that might interest the kids.
Leave Killarney for Bunratty and spend the afternoon there which I think the kids will enjoy. Head to Kinvarra where we will spend the night. Also considering Lahinch instead of Kinvarra. How far are Cliffs of Moher from Kinvarra?
Following day we will explore what we can of the Burren or Cliffs of Moher or whatever makes sense time wise for us in a couple of hours and then in the late afternoon head to Dublin. Spend the night at a hotel near airport as we leave early the next morning.

Does this itinerary make sense and will it keep driving under 2-2.5 hours? We can handle longer driving times if we are making stops along the way (e.g. going from Kilkenny to Killarney and Kinvarra to Dublin). Thanks for any ideas you might have!
