Remain on the Italian page (the English page will bring you back to the Italian again). Here's your cheat sheet on how to pull up a list of "Alberghi".
Under "cerca un albergo nel commune di" (= searching for a hotel in the city of) put in "Venezia" or "Roma" or whatever city you're seeking; under "scegli categoria" (select the category) the number of stars your hotel should have (two or three, etc), then hit "cerca" (=search). You'll find a list of hotels in alphabetical order -it's important to know that all those with "Mestre" as part of the address are situated on the mainland and not on the island of Venice.
After you have selected a hotel, you'll find the address in the upper and the rate in the lower part. The rest is informing you how many rooms the particular hotel has, what languages are spoken, etc. "Singole" means single "doppie" means double-room, "senza bagno" without bathroom, "con bagno" with bathroom. The rates given are minimum-maximum, depending on the season and the location and size of the room.

Would anyone know???
I was using above, Cheaper Flights within Europe" to book a Venice to Paris flight. Somewhere along line I came to a great site that showed at bottom of screen, several boxes, each representing companies as: Expedia, Kyack, Orbiz, Farecast, to recall a few. I clicked on one and the main site showed a screen saying they were now connecting to, whatever box I had clicked on. It was an easy way to check each company.
I cannot recall the main site and it is bothering me! I went to this site back in April so it is no longer recorded on my computer. I checked again each shown above to no avail. Would anyone have any idea?

an awesome cellphone application for LONDON is MetrO5.7.2
I have a centro and downloaded this for free.
You put in locations and it will show you routes by tube, bus, rail.
It also has other cities but I use London.
there is also tube 2 which cost $10
