UK Tour

Jump to last reply

We live in Australia and have the happy circumstance of a son living in London, so we have a base from which to travel.
We have already visited Cornwall, Wales and a small part of England by way of a rental car.
We are planning a visit in 2013 and initially were looking at a 14 day tour by motor home or rental car around England and Scotland.
After much studying of guide books and becoming confused we are wondering whether the trip will be too much road travel with not a lot of visiting of interesting places.
Can anyone help with their views of the best places to visit in England and Scotland?
Also whether travelling by train with the occasional hire car is an alternative.
Look forward to hearing from you
Cheers
Colin & Katie
