Trip Report Two weeks in Lisbon and north of Portugal

My good experiences in Lisbon and the north of Portugal.
In the big cities avoid turistic restaurants to eat. They are not expensive, but the quality is very low.

Hotels in the north of Portugal
Porto palacio
The best hotel in two weeks in Portugal
Good location, very modern, good service amd wonderful breakfast. The main restaurant is quiet cheap at lunch, but expensive at dinner. The pool and the spa are good options for a long period in town.

Vidago palace
Old new palace
Fantastic hotel after a long renovation period. Great work for a old time palace. Good service. The golf is beautiful. The quality of the food is outstanding.

Casa da Calçada
relais et chateaux is a guarantee of quality.
If you look for charm go to Amarante, this is the place for some romance, love is in the air. The star restaurant is a must in the north of Portugal.

Restaurants
Pedro Lemos
Best restaurant in Oporto
This is the best place in Oporto to have a special dinner, good food, good wines and a perfect service. Not cheap but you get what you pay, a must in Oporto.

Paparico
Good restaurant
this is not my kind of restaurant, but its a good restaurant. Nice but expensive starters that are in the table when you seat, and you'll pay unless you express ask to take away the several plates. Also the coffee is bad for the portuguese average. Nice ribs.

Lisbon
Assinatura
My choice in Lisbon
For the only nigth i spend in Lisbon. Close to Sofitel, ten minutes walking, very good food, good wine and very good service (only restaurant we visit that the waiter spoke italian). After reading tripadvisor we choose and we think we did the rigth choice. It was the best meal in Portugal

Fatima
tia alice
good food in a strange location
Very good cod fish and also a nice meat with rice. Two or three Km from fatima this restaurant is good and the price is correct. For me isn't the best in Portugal but is good.
