Two bedroom apartment in Paris? Help?

I know the Paris apartment questions have been done to death, but since I find myself spending HOURS sifting through all the possibilities, I decided to risk asking one more time! We need a two bedroom for 4 nights in July. Our friends will be with us for their first time in Paris, although we have been multiple times. We can afford to spend around $200 per couple per night, so no ParisPerfect for us..
Has anyone stayed in a great apartment that they can recommend? Thanks!
G.

YES! Two couples just stayed in this paris vacation apartments in the Palais Royal. It was great, has two bedrooms and two bathrooms at opposite ends of the apartment, one of the suites was much bigger than the other, but both were very nice.
It was also our friends first time and our umpteenth time, the location was great for both of us.
I'd stay there again with friends.

Susanna, the apartment is gorgeous but way more than $400 per night, if I am reading it correctly. Love it, though! Thanks.

While the apartment is just about $400 a night, it has a mimimum rental period of 1 week and you indicate you plan to stay only 4 days.

My parents, my husband and I stayed in this one. It is a modest apartment but very comfortable and in a wonderful neighborhood. http://www.rentalfrance.com/index.php?location=stpaul

Maybe you are reading it wrong, it is $2860 a week, which is$408 a night, $204 a couple. It is calculated in dollars so no extra with a euro conversion.
This is the third or fourth time renting from this company and have always been happy

The problem is it has a week's minimum rental, so it would be $2860 for only 4 days, the minimum rate. It does look nice, though.

laurie ann - the apartment looks great but it is booked for our dates! Susanna - you are right about the cost of the apartment! I read it as euros. But it looks like Christina is correct - one week rental only. I am finding a lot of those! Thanks for your help! Anyone else?

many owners/agencies that have a 1 week minimum will rent for shorter periods to fill between longer bookings. But that usually requires contacting each one personally.

Say a flat is has two bookings w/ 3 or 4 dark nights in between - most would be happy to rent it. I've managed these sort of short booking a few times.

Agree, janisj, but I am looking now for July so think they may not be willing just yet to confirm 4 nights. I found some good possibilities on laurie ann's suggestion of the agency rentalfrance. Never heard of them and not much on the web. Can you vouch for them laurie ann????

Some friends of mine stayed here a few years ago and liked it, but there were just two of them, mother and grown daughter. If one couple wouldn't mind twin beds it might work for you. Well within your budget, lots of good reviews. In the 7th, near Invalides and Rodin Museum. Says minimum of 4-5 nights.

The rental agency rentalfrance was very prompt, provided a written rental agreement, the apartment was very clean and well stocked with paper goods, laundry detergent, etc. We had no issues at all. Pasacal was the manager then. Don't know if he still is. I believe though that the properties themselves are individually owned so your experience could vary. The one we had on Rue St Paul was owned by an American chef who uses it part of the year himself so he had good instructions in English for the various appliances, a number for an English speaking taxi company, a notebook with local restaurant recommendations. We had a great week.

If you are having trouble finding availability for your dates you might use www.tripadvisor.com or www.vrbo.com which lets you sort for just your dates so you don't waste time with rentals with longer minimum days. If you find something that appeals to you post the link back here and others can weigh in on your choice.
