Tuscan Tour

Three of us are looking for a 1/2 or full day tour of some vineyards and possibly an olive press in Tuscany. We don't have much money to spend unfortunately so are looking for something on a limited budget. We are staying in Siena so will be travelling from there. Can anyone suggest a company to use?

Although I haven't used him yet, I've reserved with Luca Garrapa based on numerous recommendations here. [email protected]

He charges 25 Euro per hour for 1-2 people and I belive 35 Euro per hour for 3-4 people, so four hours would be 140 Euro, which wouldn't be much split three ways. I don't know if there's any cheaper way to do this, other drivers charge much more (some as much as 600-700 Euro per day!). Hope this helps.

There is a tour company that operates out of Florence (not Siena) that does half-day and full-day Chianti winery tours:

http://www.caftours.com/en/regtoursac.htm

If there are three of you, for the same cost as the full-day tour (except the cost of dinner, which you may not want anyway), you can hire Luca Garrapa for six hours.

I'd go with Luca Garrapa.

Thank you so much all of you for your replies. I've just emailed Luca so fingers crossed he'll be able to take us.
