Turkey- suggests for my itinerary

Jump to last reply

What do you think of this itinerary? I will be visiting in May.

My flight from San Francisco gets into IST very late at night around midnight.
I was thinking of staying at an airport hotel and then flying to Cappadocia/Kayser airport or flying to Euphesus/Izmir Airport. (What airport hotel do you suggest?)

-Spend 4 days in Cappadocia area

Fly to Izmir (are there any non-stop flights?)
-Visit for 3 days Ephesus, Sardis, Pamukkale, Hierapolis & Aphrodisia.
I was debating about including Tire possibly during market day. Is this town or market worth seeing?
Fly back to Istanbul from Denizli

-Spend seven or eight days in Istanbul

If I can’t find a non-stop flight between Kayseri and Izmir I could also visit Istanbul in between Cappadocia and Ephesus.
