Turkey Itinerary Advice

I am planning a first time trip to Turkey this May. Is the below 2 week itinerary reasonable without being too rushed? Most interested in history and architecture, but want to work in some beautiful coast line and relaxation time.

Day 1 Fly to Antalya (via IST connection), rent car drive to Cirali (90 min)
Day 2 Cirali - Olympos
Day 3 drive to Kas (2 hrs)
Day 4 Kas
Day 5 drive to Fethiye (1.5 hrs)
Day 6 Fethiye
Day 7 drive to Bodrum (4 hrs)
Day 8 Bodrum – day trip Ephesus (2.5hrs each way, maybe bus tour?)
Day 9 Bodrum
Day 10 fly to Istanbul
Day 11 Istanbul
Day 12 Istanbul
Day 13 Istanbul
Day 14 Istanbul, fly home at night

Thanks for any advice you can provide!

You will be missing all the archeological and historic sites by driving fast between your stops.

Antalya to Cirali - Phaeselis
Cirali to Kas ; - Arycanda, Myra, Saint Nicholas, Ucagiz, Kekova, Simena

Kas - Fethiye ; - Patara, Xanthos, Letoon, Tlos, Pinara, Saklikent.

Fethiye- Bodrum - Kusadsi ; - Herakleia, Miletus, Didyma, Priene.

You're getting some very good advice - your plan would not leave much room to see the magnificent ruins of this part of the world.

You might find some useful information in my trip report - just click on my name to find it.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I will look into the sites you have listed. I am not planning to drive straight through from A to B but certainly will stop along the way, I just don't want to be driving for 6+ hours per day.

Just want to determine if the towns I have listed are good choices to stay and whether I am trying to do too much in too little time.

kja, I will check out your trip report.

Have a look at Anamur too, the castle and ruins look wondeful.

Is Ephesus a reasonable day trip from Bodrum or would I be killing myself with all the driving?

It can be done but it's about 2hrs 30mins drive each way.

There are some nice ancient sites closer to Bodrum - Iasos, Euromos, Heracleia, Didyma, Miletus, Priene (west of Milas on the road to Ephesus), and Labranda, Stratonikeia, Lagina, Alabanda heading east from Milas.
