turkey - how to get from one place to another
we are planning a 8 or 9 day trip to Turkey this fall with 5 days in Istanbul. We will be coming from Greece. We would like to see Gallipoli and Ephesus. Does anyone have suggestions for the best ways to get to those locations from Istanbul? or should we travel to those locations from Greece and then travel to Istanbul? Again, what would the most efficient transportation method be?

The most practical way to see Gallipoli is by bus or rental car.
Getting there from istanbul and getting back can be a very long day with little to show for it.
If you are flying back from Istanbul, I suggest that you fly to Izmir, rent car, drive to Ephesus, possibly stay the night at Seljuk or Kusadasi and drive up to Istanbul, visiting Pergamom, Assos, Troy and Gallipoli.
You may wish to stay a night at Pergamom and one at Canakkale or iceboat or just one night at Assos.
You can get train from izmir airport to Seljuk. Atlas Jet has a free shuttle to Seljuk also.
Going North through the places I mentioned and visiting Gallipoli by public transport will take at least one extra day.
