Hi--I am trying to remember the name of a place I considered when planning our trip to Italy two years ago. I believe I found it thanks to a tip here. It was a castello or very small walled hilltown with accommodations of varios sorts, in the hills north of Lucca and also if I remember correctly north of Castelnuove di Garfagnana. It stood alone on a hilltop. It seemed to be a new restoration recently opened to offer lodging. It looked intriguing, but in the end I decided it was too complicated ( we were traveling mostly without a car) and I did mot pursue it. I thought I had saved some printed information in my " future trips" file but I cannot find anything.
Does this sound familiar to anyone here? Would appreciate some suggestions, as I have searched on Google and looked at satellite views of the area and cannot come up with a match.
Thanks for you help!

Could it be Barga?
It is near Barga, but it is a specific castle or castle-like complex that now offers lodging and meals. A " destination" sort of place a bit away from any town, at least as far as I recall. They have a website but my memory of the details is too fuzzy for me to search for it properly.
Did you try Trip Advisors map? I searched Bagna for accomodations, and then went to the map where you can scan up to the Castelnuove di Garfagnana area. Maybe you find it that way.
