Tromso and Lofoten, Norway in September

Jump to last reply

Hi. I will be in Tromso in early September for 5 days. I realise that's too early for snow but are the surrounding mountains snow capped at that time? It looks like a lot of day trip companies do not operate in early September so I am hoping there will be enough to see and do. Prior to Tromso, I am spending 2 nights in Svolvaer (Lofoten) and can options to fly to Bodo (from Copenhagen) and catch the fast ferry or Hurtigruten to Svolvaer or fly direct to Svolvaer. I would appreciate your thoughts ie would I be missing a lot of great scenery by flying? I'll be taking the Hurtigruten to Tromso from Svolvaer after. Thanks for your help.
