Trip to Spain
I am planning a business trip for my husband and an associate to Spain. In searching for flights, I found Iberia airlines to be the best bet but I have read quite a few negative comments about the airline. Has anyone experienced Iberia airlines? My second question is what would you recommend they see in Madrid before going to Alicante. Also is flying the best from Madrid to Alicante or train?

I use Iberia at least a couple of times a year and have never had any problems with them. Although they did recently do away with the in-flight meal on short-haul flights, replacing it with a pay menu, which was a bit annoying. I would certainly recommend them though.

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I'm not so concerned about food service, as that is true with most airlines in the states. I had read about a few flights where times were changed last minute to the following day. I think I will book the flights, if I can get ahold of them. There website seems to be always down and hours are 9:30 to 5:00 on Saturday, but they don't say what time zone.

We are just back frm Spain during which time we used Iberia to fly within the country. Very efficient except for a short baggage unloadng delay in Barcelona.
Have used this airline several times and have had no complaints. For this trip we reserved e-tickets in advance at greatly reduced fares by pre-registering on the Iberia website which you should be able to do at anytime.
